During the pandemic, amateur AND professional artists have been frustrated in their search for a venue to show their work. The lockdown has had variuos outcomes. Some artists have shut down altogether, whereas others have gone to work in their studios, producing many works of art, some, sadly which will never be seen. The problem appears to be that even if venues were available, there is very little appetite for the public to visit. Of course, there is always the internet, you say. From my experience, paintings on the internet just do not have the same impact. No texture, no scale, no feeling.
I am waiting for the day when we will be able to get back to "real" shows.
